Consultation with Employees

It is recognised that in order to achieve health, safety and environmental objectives and to meet legal obligations, consultation with and the co-operation of all employees is essential. To assist with this process a number of new schemes have been introduced. In December 2006 we established and publicised the three Head Office Health, Safety and Environmental Representatives and have recently introduced the “DON’T LOOK THE OTHER WAY!!! SCHEME”).

Both Head Office schemes gives the opportunity for employees to communicate Health, Safety and Environmental concerns, improvements and training requirements to recognised representatives, (anonymously so if desired). The Safety Representatives meet on a monthly basis to discuss and implement any actions. To date we have not received one completed leaflet.

We are also in the process of establishing Health, Safety and Environmental Representatives for the constructions operatives.
