One of Parkstone Group’s sensitive challenges in 2007/2008 has been the Southgate Development in bath. This development is a major new retail centre in the heart of Bath’s beautiful heritage city.

Before earthworks could begin an archaeological dig took place in conjunction with London Museums to locate, expose and map objects of special interest and heritage prior to commencement of the construction process.

The groundworks have had to be completed with careful planning and thought with all staff briefed as to the importance of potential finds during the earthworks. Parkstone Group were chosen by main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine not only due to our considerable retail experience but also we have shown to be capable of working with and being sensitive to the local environment.
