CHAS - Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme

The Parkstone Group has recently been awarded CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) accreditation. This adds to the considerable portfolio of health, safety and environmental accreditations currently held by the Parkstone Group.

CHAS is a widely respected health and safety competency assessment scheme supported by industry through several trade associations.

The Health and Safety Executive describe CHAS as the benchmark to measure public organisations compliance with their duty to assess competence under the newly revised Construction (Design Management) Regulations 2007.

With nearly three hundred client users and over seventeen thousand registered contractors and consultants in its database, the scheme is the largest of its type in the United Kingdom.

In addition to the CHAS accreditation the Group has recently registered with the Britannia Safecontractor accreditation scheme for business and is currently undergoing audits to enable accreditation to the scheme to be achieved in early 2008.
