Parkstone flies high with the RAF
The Parkstone Construction part of the Parkstone Group have been awarded the contract to upgrade the foundations and floors of the Tornado and Canberra spray booths along with the smaller aircraft booth at RAF Marham.
These booths, which were installed in 2002, are vital for producing the surface and specialist finishes that the aircraft need in conflict and day to day scenarios.
This means that the booths, which are capable of the complete re-spray of both a Tornado and Canberra simultaneously, have to be kept in the highest operational condition.
Parkstone are removing the old concrete floor slabs, constructing new foundations and installing new multi-level flooring with integral drainage.
Mike Potter of Parkstone comments, “Being awarded this work confirms yet again, that we are capable of the highest standards of quality and technical excellence. We also realise the importance of meeting our time deadlines, after all, we’ve got to help keep those planes in the air”.
The RAF Marham contract is just one of many successes that Parkstone have achieved in the last 12 months since the buyout and confidence is high that this progress will continue to accelerate.
